Another tile was laid. Last Wednesday, in Piazza Porta Expo, Cap Group, at the hands of President of the Group – as well as coordinator of Water Alliance – Alessandro Russo and general manager Michele Falcone, laid the last tile of the year in the great mosaic – even 1,250 square meters and 150,000 tiles – of Costellazione 2015, the official sponsor. A blue tile, the same color of water, basic element for life. The valuable raw material that Group – which manages the integrated water service, according to house providing model, in the provinces of Milan, Monza and Brianza, Pavia, Varese and Como – provides. That same water that, during the six-month Expo, free quenched the thirst of millions of guests due to the many Water House installed by CAP Group within exhibition area. And the feedback was really important: almost 9 million and a half liters of water supplied and 18 million plastic bottles savings. In step with the Universal Exposition mission.
Most importantly, after Expo, Water Houses will continue their useful service in the municipalities of Bollate, Canegrate, Cassina de ‘Pecchi, Cernusco sul Naviglio, Cinisello Balsamo, Garbagnate Milanese, Gorgonzola, Gudo Visconti, Lainate, Magenta, Marcallo con Casone, Noviglio, Pieve Emanuele, Robecchetto con Induno, Rodano, Senago, Sesto San Giovanni and Solaro.
Along with other seven public water companies, belonging to, with Milanese company, Water Alliance (SAL, Padania Acque, Uniacque, Pavia Acque, Gruppo Lario Reti, Brianzacque e Secam), CAP Group signed the Charter of Milan, thus putting the struggle against waste, the spread of environmental education, the sustainability and the equitable access to natural resources down in black and white.
Water Alliance’s purpose is to create a network model so as to start synergies and enable innovative projects able to devise a real smart land, bringing surplus value to individual companies and their services provided to own territory.
Over the next five years, the eight companies will invest 800 million EUR: they will be especially spend to bring purifiers and drainage systems up to code, and thus resolve the serious infrastructural deficit which caused the EU infringement procedure against Italy. A community effort in progress, just like mosaic of Costellazione 2015.
